The binder leaf that holds the filler bunch together inside the wrapper.
The capote is the secondary leaf wrapped around the filler bunch before the wrapper is applied. It contributes structurally rather than aesthetically - a good capote produces an even burn and consistent draw - and is typically a more robust grade of leaf than the wrapper.
