The closed end of the cigar, applied by hand from offcuts of the wrapper.
On a Cuban cigar the cap is built from three distinct pieces of wrapper laid one over the other and finished with a small cohiba-style flag. The triple cap is visible as two fine concentric lines below the final piece. A single-piece or flag cap is faster to apply and is one of the standard counterfeit cues.
